It can be argued he is one of the elite quarterbacks in NFL history. He has the sixth-best touchdown-to-interception ratio in league history. True, quarterbacks today dominate the charts of statistical leaders. Still, acknowledge how high he ranks.
His distractors assert that he was washed up, what with his team going 1-10 with him as the starter that last season. But note: His personal stats remained great that year, despite his coming off three surgeries. He simply was not playing on a good team. San Francisco that year ranked 4th in dropped passes, 29th in pass-blocking efficiency, and 32nd in points given up per game.
Colin Kaepernick: If ever a list is made of those blackballed in the history of professional sports, he may be at the top.
