If We Would do Right, We Would Offer Military Intervention for the Kurds

Waste not another moment, Congress, in declaring war in defense of the Kurds. Whenever a true ally, and a benevolent one at that, has been in trouble, have we been slow to come to their defense?
Declare war, America, not on Turkey, per se, but on any that seek to kill the Kurds.
Turkey is waging an all-out assault on a people who have aligned themselves with Democracy, a people who have stood up to the murderers of ISIS, a people who purport to not seeking full independence from Syria, but do want greater autonomy.
The Kurds are an ethnic group. They are of different religions, The area they claim in Syria is but one of the areas they claim in the Middle East. We speak of the Jews having a homeland. Should not the Kurds also be allowed a land to call their own? If we support Israel, are there not like reasons to support greater autonomy for Kurds?
Look at what they propose: Government in which the regions have more authority than the federal body. (We think of America, and the states within it being given power.) They (the Kurds) support term limits. They support women's rights, and have even had an all-female militia.
In declaring a war to protect them, though, let the document call on them to correct some past wrongs. Some of their militias  have been accused of war crimes.  And, if they have suppressed free press in any way, a warning is in order.
The Kurdish movement earlier did have connection to Marxism, but has shifted. When a people gravitate to freedom, and to democracy, do not turn them away. Then is the time to say, We support you. We will defend you. If you stand for our principals, we will stand with you.
Here's hoping America seizes the moment. I hear no talk of coming militarily to the Kurds defense. Why not? Bless us as a nation to stand with justice in foreign lands. How we are not considering this, I do not understand. Let Congress see its oversight, and intervene militarily on the Kurds defense with the coming of the next morning sun.
