From a sage
I open that book at night
And learn of all things right
Its pages are tattered from my time with it
I've turned them and turned them, this Holy Writ
And learned
And burned
Within
As they've helped me cast off sin
The secrets of heaven
And how to be leaven
Are in this book from ancient time
I turn to it
Yes, day in an day out I return to it
And the message is always sublime
