Praying Becomes a Mask

Praying sometimes becomes a mask
To excuse for who we vote
"God told me to vote for this one"
Is often what we float

And, then on the other side
There's a person who prayed to God
And was told to vote for the opposite candidate
He swears by Aaron's rod

Methinks they both can be mistaken
God didn't speak at all
They already knew who they wanted
So, God failed to speak to them at all
