No friend of the immigrant—

Charlie was not that.

He called for more deportations;

Put that in your hat.

Some might say it's righteousness,

Some might say it's so,

But there’s a world of great immigrants—

Including those whom Charlie regarded low.

Opening the door to the good ones,

Instead of deporting more and more,

Is the way of America.

So let's bring them to our shore.
