Corruption in Our Land

Yes, we are used to calling it corruption when someone cheats and steals
When they go into a backroom to wheel and deal
But corruption, as much as anything, is when a person passes out lies
Damaging nations, persons and lives

In America -- yes, spreading across this land
Are all the marks of wickedness, yes, of a wicked band
Political lies
Deceit that cries
And alabis never true
Our nation drowns in corruption
And we must for our nation
Even the red, white and blue
