Freedom fades
It is not lost
Quite yet
But it is fading fast

Night rests upon the city
The nation
The land
Is darkness capturing us at last?

Shadows gather
Ominous clouds
On the horizon
Appear

Freedom fades
Democracy
Fades
On this night that we must fear
