The Biden administration is quitely dismissing thousands of cases against immigrants. It is said that by 2024, as many as a million people could be pardoned. While news stories might be referring to these people as "illegal" immigrants, perhaps they are not. It is possible the cases are being dismissed because these immigrants are legal: They presented themselves at the border and explained they were in jeopardy in their home countries. The law allows for that.
