Alexei Navalny, Putin's greatest opponent, has been moved from one prison to another one. He may be in Melekhovo, a harsh prison where tortures include having their fingernails pulled out.
The United States should be condemning this. It isn't and it won't. We can only wonder why. Condemning the move could help save Navalny's life. The Russians do not want negative publicity. So, they will not kill him as long as it would become public knowledge.
