Perhaps Just a Cold War
The cold war is just beginning
And we can hope it doesn't blossom into real war
The enemy in our sights?
That would be the world's poor
Immigrants we send home
Deporting them from our land
And the home countries better take them back
Or face our harsh demands
Tariffs?
We've already warned of that
So, do exactly as we say
And the tariffs won't be too fat
Extortion?
Yes, that's about what we're doing
And though it probably won't reach war
You have to wonder if war is brewing
We shout at them
They shout back
The southern nations aren't backing down
They don't seem to fear our attack
A war of words is what it is now
With the shouting back and forth
A cold war is all it is going to be
Unless soldiers venture forth
