America First Needs a Makeover

America First shouldn't have to mean this:
We are better than the rest
We don't need to cry out
That we are the best

We don't need to suppose
Taking care of ourselves
Means we can't care for others
We can still help our far-away sisters and brothers

America First / me first
They can be the same
If all we care about is ourselves
That's a selfish aim

But America First doesn't need to mean this
It can mean we're first to care
It can mean we're first to help
And we're first to share

So, "America First" needs a makeover
Shouldn't we give it that?
For we all live together
In one big habitat
