Prisoners of War
Prisoners, then
Prisoners of war
Captured in "battle"
Are those we are taught to deplore
Cast them in prison
In a far-away land
Let them rot
Under that command
Prisoners of a war
They didn't know they were in
They were just living their lives
And living without sin
Ripped from the streets
Ripped from their homes
The "justice" of war
Buries them beneath stones
Husbands and workers
Sons and students too
Captured and imprisoned
In a war they never knew
