Politics cannot change right from wrong.

If a president withholds military aid while suggesting the country needing it should search for him for the faults of his political opponent, is that wrong? Even if it isn't "quid pro quo," is it still wrong?
Yes, it is. Even if you seek to hide your ways, bribery remains wrong. Hiding evil only makes it more sinister.
Following up by asking China to come up with dirt on your political opponent? Is that wrong? Sen. Mitt Romney noted President Trump did not ask for China to look into any other person, just Joe (and Hunter) Biden -- his political foe?
Mitt has a point. And, it should not go unnoticed on us.
President Trump and those who defend him continue to say he has done no wrong. We may say that -- and we may believe it.
But wrong remains wrong, even in the face of what might be popular. Politics cannot change right from wrong.
