It Would Take 54 Countries to Move the Polar Bear

There never have been polar bears at the South Pole. The polar bear evolved from the brown bear, and went north to the North Pole, but not to the South. Since the Arctic is melting much faster than is Antarctica, there is talk of saving the polar bear by relocating it to the South Pole. Unfortunately, that won't work. The penguins at the South Pole would be eaten up. Plus, Antarctica is governed by a treaty between 54 countries. All 54 would have to sign off on accepting the polar bear.
