Equality -
Such a gentle word
One that embodies America
And brings our hearts to be stirred

The Declaration refers to it
The Constitution, too
All men are created equal
Hispanics, Blacks, Whites, and Jews

Equal to the president
With all the same rights
All the same protections
For all our many fights

Equal to the rich
Indeed, not ruled by them
Equal, regardless how filled our bank account
We need not own a gem

It doesn't matter the color
It doesn't matter the sex
Everyone has our honor
Everyone, our respects
