The World Festival of Music. Here's proposing that there should be such a thing. Every kind of music -- from Barbershop quartets to Native American Singing, from Lorne Greene to Bruce Springsteen -- would be on display. Each music group would be given time on stage, whether one hour or six hours fit them. When available, cover bands would perform. And, when the bands, themselves, could be drawn in to perform, they would be. Those attending the festival would be invited to perform karaoke performances of their favorite artists. Fans could make requests on which songs to play.The history of the bands would be discussed. Fans would meet others who liked the same musicians, and exchange contact information.. CDs would be sold. There would be sing-off competitions, and musicians of small acclaim would be given opportunity to perform.
It would probably have to start as a local attraction, instead of an affair attracting fans worldwide, then grow as it could.
