I will repeat: If the National Guard is not prepared at all times to hop over to the Capitol on minute's notice, maybe our defense is not too secure. There was a weak link in our defense. Or, was it a wink link? Imagine if an invading foreign power had perceived this weak link, and sent a force, and invaded the Capitol. Would they have gotten away with it? Or, did the rioters get away only because we let them? If it had been a foreign army, we would have squelched them, even if they came in casual attire, not advertising who they were. If so, if we would have laid in wait for any other group, then refer to what happened as a wink link. We winked at them, and said, Come on in.
