The NRA may believe guns should be allowed in public meetings, but they weren't allowed at the NRA convention this year. With President Trump speaking there, the NRA says the Secret Service banned guns at the convention. It would seem if Trump wanted, he could have intervened and told the NRA that guns would be allowed. Also, what happened to the "If you want my gun, you'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands"? The convernce-goers set that motto aside. One wonders if guns and other weapons were allowed, but just not when Trump was speaking.
