A Make-Believe World 

They live in a make-believe world
They tell stories and make things up
And they say all they say with a very straight face
They seem so earnest and honest, you drink it all up

They live in a make-believe world
Like supposing an election was won when really it was lost
They tell lies of enchantment
And will never be bossed

We've always known this is a sign of them
A make-believe world, they make up the truth
You can swallow their lies and pretend that they're true
All the way down to the election booth

They see monsters in corners
And ghosts in the night
Their political foes are never alright
But they tell you not to worry
They're here to save the day
All the ghosts they will banish
All the monsters they will slay

Snap out of it, dear voters of America
You've always known what insanity looks like
So don't elect this crazy
Tell him to take a big hike
