A Stateswoman

What does it take to be a stateswoman?
There have been statesmen, of course
Men skilled, experienced, and respected
But can Kamala Harris ride on such a horse?

It would be necessary to accomplish something great
Stopping a would-be dictator from being elected?
Reforming the Supreme Court?
Those would help her be respected

Settling a foreign war?
Solving that messy matter at our border?
Raising the economy to new heights?
Bringing all of those things to good order?

There are politicians 
And we elect them every time
How about a statesperson
Just this one time?
